PVE 55DR heading for England

PVE 55DR Transport

Recently PVE supplied a brand new PVE 55DR to IVOR KING PILING (IVK) through AGD Equipment in the UK.
With a total effective leader length of nearly 28 meters this rig is able to drill up to 25 meters deep without the use of a drill extension. It is equipped with the latest technologies and a lot of accessories.
PVE 55DR with RH-25 and PVE 50PR with 7NL

Ivor king offers a range of piling solutions to meet the needs of their clients; from steel sheet piling, bored and CFA, precast driven concrete, steel tubular & H section piles to king post walls.

Together with the 50PR which IVK is using, the 55DR will make sure they can offer their customers a complete solution.
Both PVE rigs can be set up within 20 minutes which saves a lot of time on the jobsite.

The PVE 50PR is equipped with a 7 ton accelerated drop hammer which can be used for: concrete-, wooden- and steel piles. PVE has drive caps for the most common pile sizes on stock, every other drive cap/sleeve can be made upon request. At IVK’s project in Dunbar it is driving 1300, 273mm tubular piles to set the foundation for a new waste to energy plant.
The PVE 55DR is fitted with the PVE RH-25 rotary head which has a nominal torque of 250 kNm. In combination with the pull down installed on the rig it will be capable of drilling 25m Ø900mm CFA piles. The 55DR is also fitted with a Tier 4-F engine that meets the latest environmental standards. It is also fitted with a lot of accessoires like a high pressure watertank, Manlift on the side of the leader and data monitoring system. Not only can this rig be used for CFA but also for Soil displacement-, Double rotary- and for example for semi displacement drilling.

The very first job of the 55DR will start soon and we will keep you posted!
