Woltman 50PR driving tubular piles in Scotland
Ivor King Piling is working continuesly at the new £177m Energy Recovery Facility in Dunbar, Scotland. For this project Ivor king uses a Woltman 50PR with 7NL hammer to install the 1300, 12m, Ø273mm tubular piles.
Due to the capacity and mobility the Woltman 50PR(-SD) has become the most popular rig in the range of Woltman piling rigs. The 50PR is capable of handling 21m (70ft) piles by itself. The maximum combined weight of pile and hammer exceeds the 18 ton (20 US tons) which enables the 50PR to drive large diameter piles. All of that in a machine weighing just 52 ton. The 50PR is available with Tier 3 and Tier 4F engine. Both models can be ordered with free fall winches or conventional winches!
